Amanda Fallon smith

Congratulations to Amanda Fallon Smith who recently joined the national tour of Wicked as Nessarose, the Wicked Witch of the East and sister to Elphaba.  Amanda is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University with a BFA in Musical Theatre and a proud member of Actor’s Equity.  She was fortunate to spend a year as Miss Pennsylvania 2014, winning the talent award at the annual Miss America Pageant.  Amanda is originally from Tampa, Florida and performed with mad Theatre of Tampa as Rosa Bud in our 2013 production of The Mystery of Edwin Drood

Shaun Rice

Shaun Rice’s creative pursuits have led him from the South to the Big Apple and beyond. He has been touring the globe and performing regionally for the past ten years. His most notable roles were touring the US and Asia as Uncle Fester in The Addams Family Musical and as Alf in Peter and the Starcatcher. We remember him well when he appeared in our 2004 and 2005 productions of Perfectly Frank and Ragtime before he directed Quilt for us in 2006.  Shaun will be back in the director’s chair in 2020 for mad Theatre of Tampa when he brings The Toxic Avenger to the Shimberg Playhouse at the Straz Center.

Mark Bacon is currently starring in the touring production of Finding Neverland as JM Barrie.  Mark was the lead soloist for Aida Cruise Lines, Hamburg, Germany and appeared in the regional premiere of Heathers along with several productions around the US including Hairspray with mad Theatre, Mamma Mia, Saturday Night Live, Cabaret, All Shook Up!, RENT, and Brigadoon. Mark graduated from Florida State University with a BFA in Musical Theatre.
